Editorial
mission This site is dedicated to increasing awareness of the benefits derived from the use of "user-centered" development methods in the creation of advanced technological solutions to complex social and business problems. The primary focus of our editorial content is on screen-based products and services. In the strong belief that knowledge is power and collaboration expands knowledge we have created this site with the hope of building an executive resource for user-centered design information. Who this site is created for The site is designed for corporate executives interested in developing an understanding of how user-centered development methods can improve the effectiveness of technology-based products and services. Taskz content sections For maximum accessibility each section is written at 3 levels. • Summary: simple overview of topic written in laymen terms • In-depth: detailed discussion of topic written in more technical terms • Resources: links to additional information on the topic Section 1 UCD Executive Primer Covers methods used in the creation of user-centered technology solutions. Section 2 UCD Feature Articles Covers user-centered development issues in either their social or business context. Usually covers important user-centered development stories worth exploring based on the editorial mission of Taskz. Section 3 UCD Design Data Contains a wealth of information on web research that may have an impact on the creation of user-centered solutions. Covers data such as how the technology platforms, both hardware and software of the web effects the quality of the user experience. Displays data and statistics on topics such as browsers, screen size, resolution, and mobile and fixed platform issues as they impact your ability to create user-centered solutions to complex problems. Section 4 Viewpointz Contains articles covering topics of interest to both practitioners and consumers interested in user-centered solutions.
