Surveys
Despite
the recent dot-com busts, Americans remain enthusiastic about the Internet.
The vast majority of those who go online feel positive about the Internet.
Yet, the public has deep concerns about Internet content, in particular
as it relates to children. Privacy is common worry among Americans as well.
Therefore, a majority of Americans would like to see further regulation
of the Internet, not only by the government, but also by independent non-profit
agencies.
